In a darkened gallery two parallel and moving cloths are suspended. One is solid, the other a netting. Fans cause the cloths to flutter. The netting allows the images to double. Quick 2-3 second snips of video of people in the act of looking pass across the cloths in an unending loop. Music plays a repeating waltz broken by an erratic chiming coming from a cluster of small wooden birdcages each containing a small metal bell.
Music: “The Searchers Waltz” from the Craft of Kin album, used with permission from the Gallier Brothers.
Video: Original clips and 3 second snips from “Le Sacrifice” by director Andrei Tarkovsky.
