I.D. What We Saw of It…

In a dark space a small boat made of fallen pine needles is illuminated. It turns silently in a lethargic circle above a compass rose chalked onto the floor. Nestled inside the vessel are a few old family photographs, remnants of journal writings and small green sprouting things. Behind the boat a sheer, wall sized black cloth moves in gentle ripples while a video projection of slow, drifting fragments of sights, people, shadows and moving landscapes moves across the cloth, though it and onto the wall behind.

On either side of the darkened room small flashlight beams snap on and off in short video clips of people approaching from a distance or searching in the dark.
