Unstable Images

It bothers me that images are so ‘still’.  Still images replace memory’s slips and slides with mechanical clarity and an inhuman fixity.  Why can’t images be more like memory and other things in life – unstill:  on the verge of disappearing or affected by memory or untoward events?

Memory is intangible, made of nothing but feelings. It leaves no trace. I am
drawn to examining the physical ways we attempt to never forget.
